iOS and Android app development for founders

We design and build your app for iOS and Android, then submit it to the App Store and Google Play.

What our app development covers

We design and build apps for iPhone and Android phones and submit them to the App Store and Google Play. [TBD: stack, either native apps or one cross-platform codebase.] The work runs from the first screens to launch day, and it can include the store listing and a preview video.

Who it's for

We build apps for founders and small teams who have an idea or a prototype and need a first version in the stores. We also build apps for businesses that want one next to their website.

What you get

  • Screen flows and designs for the main tasks in your app, approved before the build
  • The app for iOS and Android
  • Testing on both platforms before submission
  • Store submission, with the listing text, screenshots, and privacy details each store asks for
  • On request, a listing written for store search through ASO and an app preview video through Motion design
  • [TBD: updates and support after launch]

How we work

  1. You tell us what the app does, who it's for, and when you want it in the stores.
  2. We map the main screens and agree on the scope of the first version with you.
  3. We design the screens. You approve them before we build.
  4. We build in rounds and send you test builds through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, so you can try the app on your own phone.
  5. We submit to both stores and handle the questions that come back from review.

Questions about app development

Have you shipped apps before?

Not as a studio. We're new, and there's no client app to show yet. [TBD: founder's earlier app work, only if Artun wants it shown.] The sample projects show how we'd plan an app launch.

Do you build native apps or one cross-platform app?

[TBD: stack, either native apps for each platform or one cross-platform codebase.] When we agree on the scope of your first version, we also tell you which approach we'd use for your app and why it fits.

Do I need my own developer accounts?

Each store publishes apps under a developer account: the Apple Developer Program for the App Store, and a Google Play Console account for Google Play. [TBD: confirm that client apps publish under the client's own accounts.] If you don't have the accounts yet, we walk you through the sign-up. Google Play adds a step for personal accounts opened after November 13, 2023: a closed test with at least 12 testers, running for 14 days in a row, before the app can go live. When that applies, we plan those two weeks into the launch date.
