Website design and development for new sites and rebuilds

We design, build, and launch sites that load fast on phones and are set up for search.

What our website design covers

We plan, design, and build your website, then launch it. That covers the page structure, the visual design, motion, the code, and the search setup. If you don't have a brand yet, Branding can come first. We build with Astro, which sends finished pages to the browser and adds JavaScript only where a page needs it, so pages stay light on a phone. We built this site with Astro too, and it's our first finished project.

Who it's for

We build sites for founders who need one before a launch, and for businesses whose current site is slow, dated, or hard to find. Larger companies can bring us one piece, such as a rebuild of the main site, and keep the rest with their own team. When we rebuild a site, we redirect the old page addresses, so existing links and search results still lead somewhere.

What you get

  • A page plan: which pages you need and what each one says first
  • Designs for phone and desktop, approved by you before we build
  • The finished site, with motion that stays smooth on mid-range phones and a calmer version for visitors who turn motion off
  • Search setup: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, and structured data
  • Written speed and accessibility checks before launch
  • Launch on [TBD: hosting], with [TBD: editing and maintenance options after launch]

How we work

  1. You tell us what the site is for, who it's for, and your deadline.
  2. We send a page plan and a first design direction for you to react to.
  3. We design the main pages and start the build once you approve them.
  4. We test at phone and desktop sizes: speed, accessibility, links, and forms.
  5. We launch and hand over [TBD: logins, docs, and support terms].

Questions about website design

How long does a website take?

It depends on the number of pages and whether your text and photos are ready. [TBD: typical timeline for a site of five to ten pages.] We agree on a launch date with you once the page plan is done, before design starts.

Can you redesign a site you didn't build?

Yes. We start by measuring the current site's speed and checking how search engines see it, so the new version fixes the problems we find on the old one.

Can I edit the site myself after launch?

[TBD: editing options after launch, for example a content editor for text and images, or changes we make on request.] We settle this with you in the page plan, before the build starts, because it changes how the site is built.
